The ID Academy is a football and goalkeeping coaching academy based at Shooters Football in North Weald, Essex. We run structured programmes for boys and girls of all ages and abilities — from open-access group sessions to invite-only academy squads.

Whether your child is just starting out or aiming for pre-academy level, our FA-qualified coaches deliver sessions that develop technical skills, tactical awareness, and confidence on the pitch. We also offer specialist GK coaching pathways and 1-2-1 sessions for players who want focused development.

Frequently Asked Questions

We run programmes for a range of age groups. Specific age brackets vary by programme — get in touch and we'll find the right session for your child.

Not at all. Our open-access sessions (Girls Football, GK Training & Development) welcome all abilities. The invite-only academy sessions are for players showing extra potential, but everyone starts somewhere.

Comfortable sportswear and astroturf boots or moulded studs. Shin pads are required. Goalkeepers should bring their own gloves. Bring a water bottle.

Some programmes (Boys Academy, GK Pre-Academy, GK Academy) are invite-only. Players are selected based on ability and commitment, often after attending open sessions or trials. Get in touch if you're interested — we can arrange a trial.

Yes — free on-site parking at Shooters Football. Plenty of space.

Yes — all our coaches hold enhanced DBS checks and are FA qualified. Safeguarding is a priority and we follow FA safeguarding guidelines across every session.

Absolutely. Parents are welcome to watch from the sideline. We just ask that coaching is left to the coaches during sessions.

Sessions run in all weather — it's football! The 3G pitch drains well so we rarely cancel. In extreme conditions we'll notify you via ClassForKids or WhatsApp.
